“Learning from your health care peers offers a fun and informal way to educate each other about your experiences and knowledge. Participating in interprofessional activities is also exciting as you feel that you are being an advocate for positive change and helping bring about a more efficient and fair health care team dynamic. Being part of such an advanced and fast-paced program, I tend to interpret the health care system and patient interactions solely through a nursing lens. I think the aspect of interprofessional experiences that I've found most enjoyable is being able to learn to approach a challenge incorporating multiple perspectives. Throughout my time as an IPE scholar I've continually found myself working with a mix of individuals, each with their own unique experiences and skills. These interactions have not only shown me the responsibilities of each profession, but also displayed the mindset and thought process that different professions utilize while tackling a new challenge.”
