Medical School Student
Interprofessional Student Spotlights
“Prior to medical school, my education and interests were very interdisciplinary. When I started medical school, I hoped to continue this by seeking out opportunities for learning beyond the medical school's curriculum. Getting involved in interprofessional activities early in my medical training helped me keep in mind the bigger picture of patient care and think critically about the systems and structures that encompass health care in our society. I really enjoyed how this perspective created a balance with the scientific details and memorization that characterize the first two years of school, and it helped fuel my continued motivation for this career path.”
