Doctor of Nursing Practice Student
Interprofessional Student Spotlights

“Interprofessional activities allow me to enjoy a window into how my colleagues think about health and disease when navigating a complex patient or community story. As a nurse with more than 10 years experience, I know that interprofessional activities most closely replicate the real world. I grow more by building relationships and understand where my scope stops and someone else's starts. This way, I am able to work against occupational segregation and lean into teamwork and sense relevant patient and policy opportunities, as well as identify each specialty's advocacy role. I am especially grateful for recent experiences with pharmacy, physical therapy and social work; these folks have modeled exceptional therapeutic teaching.”
