Interprofessional Student Spotlight
“I enjoy learning from people with different backgrounds. They come in with a wide variety of experiences which always help enrich the conversations. As a student in health care, establishing such interprofessional teams has broader impacts on my personal and professional development. I’ve actively participated in multiple interprofessional activities, including case competitions that require collaborative practices, the Interprofessional Internship Program, and the IPE Scholars Program. These have led me to a deep understanding of how multifunctional teams identify and solve problems. I have a strong passion for specialty care, which is a complex area that needs collaborative efforts. In the near future, I hope to use what I’ve learned to improve efficiency of and access to specialty care.”
