“My favorite thing about participating in interprofessional activities is that I am always learning something new. I'm continually impressed by the unique insights my interprofessional colleagues provide about not only their field but mine as well. Interprofessional activities at the U, especially longitudinal opportunities such as FLIIC (Fairview Longitudinal Interprofessional Integrated Clerkship), have provided me with a solid understanding of other programs in health care and how their students are trained. This valuable information will enhance my ability to work as part of an effective and supportive team as I begin my career in medicine. I am eager to utilize what I've learned through interprofessional work to create necessary change for the benefit of patients. Many of the changes needed in health care are dependent on interdisciplinary teams, and I am hopeful that my time spent in interprofessional settings will prepare me to contribute to this work.”
