Interprofessional Student Spotlight
"Interprofessional coursework, experiences, and other activities have allowed me to grow in my understanding of the barriers that health care professionals and patients face when providing or seeking care. Participation in these activities allows students to apply their coursework to a real-world or simulated setting and begin to understand how each profession can work together in a meaningful way to improve health care for all. It has been a tremendous opportunity to learn from multiple health care professional students during my time here at the UMN. Through these shared experiences, I continue to learn attributes of different professions and what skill sets each profession can bring to the care team to provide effective, personalized care. I enjoy learning how each profession views their role in health care as everyone has a unique perspective to share, and will be able to take the experiences of others and apply them to my vision to strive for an improved health care experience for populations and patients."
