1Health Collaboration in Action: Interprofessional LEAP Experiences

The Collaboration in Action: Interprofessional LEAP Experience - Learning through Engaging Actively in Practice - is an interprofessional education opportunity designed to allow learners from different professions to engage in collaborative activities in the clinical learning environment. Learners at LEAP sites will participate in a series of specific, intentional interprofessional learning experiences unique to their experiential site, all with the goal of promoting interprofessional competency development. 

Alanna Bailey

Alanna Bailey is a 1Health Curriculum Coordinator for the Center for Interprofessional Health. She coordinates the Essential Ambulatory Care Workshop, Phase II: Interprofessional Communication Skills & Beginner Escape Room, and Phase III: Interprofessional Practice-Based Observation & Advanced Escape Room. 

1Health Collaboration in Action: Learner-Driven Curriculum

The Collaboration in Action (CIA) Learner-Driven Curriculum is a hybrid interprofessional education opportunity designed to allow learners from different professions to engage in collaborative activities in the clinical learning environment, with little to no burden on sites and preceptors. Learners are assigned to interprofessional teams of Peer Allied Learners (PALs) to engage in a variety of activities promoting interprofessional competency development.

Savannah Salato

Savannah Salato is a 1Health Curriculum Coordinator for the Center for Interprofessional Health. She is responsible for overseeing: Phase I: Essential Ambulatory Care Workshop, Phase II: Interprofessional Communication Skills & Escape Room, and Phase III: Advanced Interprofessional Escape Room and Debriefing Session. Previously, Savannah worked at the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education as a Research and Special Projects Assistant.

Roni Lafky

Roni Lafky is the Interprofessional Experiential Engagement Specialist in the Center for Interprofessional Health. She most recently worked as a 1Health Curriculum Coordinator in the CIH, and before that, she worked in the University of Minnesota School of Nursing Office of Academic Programs. She grew up in Stockton, Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with minors in Public Health and Leadership from the University of Minnesota.

Mark Dallmann, M.Ed

Mark Dallmann is a 1Health Curriculum Coordinator for the Center for Interprofessional Health. He coordinates Phase I: Better Together, Phase II: Interprofessional Simulation Activity, and the IPE Scholars Program.

Previously, Mark was a classroom teacher working with students in grades 2 through 8. A lifelong resident of Minnesota, he received his bachelor's degree in child psychology and master's degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. 

Suzanne Stein

Suzanne Stein is the Lead 1Health Curriculum Coordinator for the Center for Interprofessional Health. In this role, Suzanne oversees the daily operations relating to planning and implementation of the 1Health interprofessional education curriculum and related programs. While Suzanne oversees all aspects of the 1Health Curriculum she also directly coordinates Phase II: Community Teacher.
