What do you enjoy most about interprofessional activities?
I genuinely value interprofessional activities because they provide the opportunity to collaborate with learners and professionals from diverse healthcare disciplines, each contributing a distinct perspective shaped by their training and clinical experiences. As a student pharmacist, I appreciate how these interactions highlight the complementary roles we play in optimizing patient care—whether it is medication management, care coordination, patient education, or clinical decision-making.

How do interprofessional activities enhance your learning and/or training?
Given that the future of healthcare increasingly emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered models of care, early exposure to interprofessional training (CLARION case competition) is invaluable. It prepares me to function effectively within healthcare teams during Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) rotations and in my future practice, ultimately improving patient outcomes and safety.

How do you envision incorporating what you learn through interprofessional activities into your future career?
As I prepare to begin my APPE rotations, I plan to intentionally apply the communication and teamwork skills I have developed through interprofessional activities. I will prioritize clear, respectful collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure medication-related recommendations are effectively integrated into patient care plans. These experiences have reinforced the importance of understanding each team member’s role, and I aim to contribute confidently while remaining open to learning from others. Ultimately, I hope to carry forward a team-based mindset that supports safe, patient-centered care throughout my pharmacy career.
