“I truly enjoy learning about the different perspectives each person has. There can be multiple answers to the same question, some of which I won't think of until someone else shares it. Collaborating on projects, attending trips, and discussion always helps me grow and appreciate each unique contribution. Interprofessional activities have taught me the importance of clear communication, team oriented approach, and allowed expansion of knowledge by having an open mindset. As a medical student, my education is expansive, so having specific IPE activities is so helpful to make sure it stays an important part of my training. Comprehensive initiatives that address social, economic, cultural, and personal idiosyncrasies are vital to creating a complete picture of care. As a future physician, I will depend on my colleagues in interprofessional branches to collaborate to ensure the best and most efficient plan of care for my patient's well being. I see these future colleagues in other fields as members of a team - with the shared goal of making a happier and healthier future for those we care for!”
